After expanding to
offline retail and launching first Mi Home in India, Chinese technology giant
Xiaomi has announced a Reward Mi program on Mi.com in India. This program will
entitle registered mi.com users to obtain reward benefits while purchasing
Xiaomi products from the website. Consumers who register for the Reward Program
between June 15 to June 21 will receive 50 Mi tokens as the welcome gesture.
This program will
launch in three phases of which first phase of this program starts today on
June 15. During which users can earn Mi-Tokens depending on shopping
transactions. For each transaction on mi.com, users get 10 percent of the
transaction value as Mi-Tokens, which will be credited only upon the successful
delivery of the product.
Later users can
covert 2,500 Mi rewards for accessory coupons or can get benefit in the
next purchase of any product. In terms of accessory of coupons 2,500
reward points can be exchanged for Rs. 100 accessory coupon and 10,000 points
for Rs. 1,000 accessory coupon. A 1000 reward point can also get user an F-code
for purchasing Redmi Note 4 - 2GB, 32GB variant which means user will not have
to wait for flash sale to buy a Redmi Note 4. This Mi Tokens will be valid for
a period between 12 to 24 months.
In the second phase of the program,
which begins first week of August, will be referral-based. This means users
will have to invite their friends to become Mi.com users to earn Mi Tokens. The
third phase includes Tier privileges. Depending on the purchases that
they’ve made, users will be divided into different tiers. Each tier will
get special privileges which includes express delivery, early access to sales,
and more.
While sharing Mi’s page on Twitter,
users need to tag five friends and use the hashtag – #rewardmi to become
eligible for the lucky draw. The post must be public. Xiaomi will give away
additional 500 Mi Tokens to winners. Xiaomi claims its Mi Store app has crossed
over 5 million app installs on Google Play Store. In terms of smartphone
sales, Mi.com is the third most successful e-commerce platform after Amazon and Flipkart in India, claims company.
